ALTHOUGH activities in parts of Georgetown appeared to be picking up yesterday, the pace was still not yet back to normal as Guyanese were seemingly ‘on pause’ as they eagerly awaited the results of the General and Regional Elections.Yesterday most of the business entities around Georgetown remained closed or were opened for a short period.

Apart from the businesses, some schools still remained closed to the majority of the student population, apart from those who are writing the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) exams. (Navendra Seoraj)
