ON behalf of myself, family and the People’s Progressive Party/Civic, I wish to take this opportunity to acknowledge the unwavering commitment and dedication which you, the members of the Disciplined Services, have displayed in defending our nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in maintaining law and order, and in ensuring that all Guyanese are safe in their homes, streets and communities.
Over the years, you have all carried out your duties while fulfilling your family obligations, at times with great personal sacrifice. Your professional efforts in this regard must be commended and all Guyanese remain appreciative.
The People’s Progressive Party/Civic, which I support, will continue to respect the constitutional roles of the Disciplined Services.  My Party will work with the respective agencies towards strengthening existing systems to provide the enabling conditions for enhanced professionalism and greater efficiency in the execution of your mandate.
The PPP/C remains committed to improving your welfare, and encourages you to stay true to the oaths of your profession as you uphold your sacred duty to defend and secure our country and its people.
Once again I commend your invaluable efforts to protect our nation.
