THREE teenagers are battling for their lives in the Suddie Hospital on the Essequibo Coast. Reports said 16 year old Mahesh Tikalall of the Anna Regina housing scheme is hospitalised after drinking a poisonous substance. Reports said the teenager, who quit secondary school some 18 months ago, and ingested the poison after experiencing problems with his girl friend and parents.

And16-year-old Naresh Arjoon of Wakenaam is also battling for his life in the Suddie hospital. It is said that the teenager drank a a herbicide because of personal problems.
And then a 14- year-old student of Spring Garden is also hospitalised after inhaling poisonous fumes while spraying a rice field. Reports said he did not wear protective clothing nor a respirator while spraying. (Rajendra Prabhulall)
