THE Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company Limited (GT&T) held its first ever Easter Hat Show at its main office at 69 Brickdam, Georgetown, and participants were staff members from its different departments.
Proceedings were filled with laughter and camaraderie even as keen rivalry dominated the quest for first prize among the twelve departments that vied to be crowned the best.
Participants were tasked with making Easter hats that appropriately represented the department in which they worked, and each hat depicted what service that department provided on an average day. The hats were judged on their originality, creativity, crowd appeal, brand representation and humour. The hats were, moreover, guarded under lock and key as each department had its ‘lookout’ checking on the competition.
The judges were inevitably given the Devil’s own job to decide which hat was the best.
