Prime Minister Samuel Hinds pointed out to the gathering that Mashramani is one of the main events in the country’s calendar of events, and it has the effect of uniting Guyanese, who celebrate together.

The Prime Minister urged Guyanese to join in the celebrations so that the bond of togetherness at Mashramani time can be strengthened.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Dr. Frank Anthony, encouraged all Guyanese to become part of the exhibition. He said he feels it is very important to understand the history of the event.

He added that Mashramani celebrations are not only about song and dance, which can be enjoyed, but there is also a balance with the intellectual side, comprising
