Speaking at the statutory meeting of the Council on Tuesday, at Anna Regina, Ms Coonjah also called for the Speed Boat Association to install floating ramps at Supenaam and Parika stelling so passengers can walk safely to and from the speed boats.
She told the meeting that the stairway that passengers have to use at Parika is very steep and dangerous and can cause serious injuries to passengers if they slip and fall especially in rainy weather. She said the stelling at Supenaam is sinking and is in bad condition.
