IN order to provide a faster response for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GHPC), the Ministry of Health Thursday handed over an ambulance valued at $11M.

Minister of Health, Dr. Bheri Ramsarran delivered the keys of the ambulance to GPHC’s CEO, Michael Khan.
The minister also disclosed that within the next two weeks the hospital will be receiving two additional ambulances. He said further that this initiative will prove worthwhile for the EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) in terms of accessibility and reliability.
These views were also underscored by the CEO of the GPHC, along with best EMT performer, Ron Morris, and Dr. Zulfikar Bux, Medical Director of the EMS Department.
