THE Guyana Police Force, on Wednesday, released the details of four drivers who were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. They quartet however, failed to appear in court and as such, arrest warrants have been issued for them.The four are:

1.      Suraj Persaud, 18 years, of Lot 19 School Street, Novar, Mahaicony, ECD, who was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2014-12-21 while driving motor car PHH 607 on the Weldaad Public Road, WCB. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged but failed to appear at the Weldaad Magistrates’ Court on 2014-12-22. An arrest warrant has been issued for him by the court.

2.      Narine Lall, 49 years, of West Strathavon, Cane Grove, ECD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2014-12-21 while driving motor pick-up GNN 5126 on the Weldaad Public Road, WCB. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged but failed to appear at the Weldaad Magistrates Court on 2014-12-22. An arrest warrant has been issued for him by the court.

3.      Davendranauth Persaud, 29 years, of Lot 12 Montrose, ECD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2014-12-24 while driving motor car PPP 6686 on the Sparendaam Public Road, ECD. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged but failed to appear at the Sparendaam Magistrates Court on 2014-12-31. An arrest warrant has been issued for him by the court.

4.      Tularam Ramsukh, 48 years, of Lot 1 Bissoon Street, Better Hope, ECD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2014-12-24 while driving motor car PRR 8045 on the Sparendaam Public Road, ECD. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged but failed to appear at the Sparendaam Magistrates Court on 2014-12-31. An arrest warrant has been issued for him by the court.
