ONE man is in police custody following the fatal stabbing of Seibert Moore, 41, of Victory Valley, Wismar, at Frenchman, Upper Demerara during an altercation on January 2, 2015.Police reported that at about 14:45 hours on January 02, 2015, Moore was involved in an altercation with another man at Frenchman, Upper Demerara, during which he was stabbed to his body.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the McKenzie Hospital.

The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

And the suspect in the Aracru, North West District (NWD) murder on Old Year’s Day has been arrested and is assisting the police with investigations.

Police reported that Augustine Samuels, 52, of Aracru, NWD, was fatally stabbed at about 19:30 hours on December 31, 2014, at Aracru.

Investigations so far have revealed that Augustine Samuels and another man, who is the suspect in this matter, were imbibing at a shop when the suspect became involved over an issue with the owner of the shop.

The shop owner managed to escape and then the suspect attacked Augustine Samuels and stabbed him about his body. Samuels was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mabaruma Hospital.

Meanwhile, in another incident, investigations are being conducted into the death of miner, Andre Britton, 50, of 111 Miles Mahdia, Potaro, which occurred at about 01:30 hours on January 1 at Mahdia.
Police said Andre Britton had earlier confronted a man, who was assaulted for throwing squibs into his yard and the man later returned and stabbed him about his body.

Britton was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia hospital.

The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
