THE FINAL two quarter finalist lineups in this year’s Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA)/ Banks DIH’s GT Beer sponsored Super 16 Christmas Football Championships will be decided this evening when another double- header kicks off at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.This evenings’ first encounter pits Botofago opening their campaign for supremacy when they face Peace Makers of Ituni at 19:00hrs (7pm), followed by Eagles United playing their first game as well, this time against Blueberry Hill.
Peace Makers had to overcome Block 22 Flames to reach this far while Blueberry Hill took care of the challenge posed by Vasco to enter this stage of the competition which continues on Christmas Day, with Net Rockers opposing Bakewell Topp XX in one fixture and Milerock opposing Hi-Stars in another.
The winner of tonight’s clash between Botofago and Peace Makers will be in action on Boxing Day, when they face defending champions Winners Connection, while Silver Shattas will play the winner of the Eagles United versus Blueberry Hill clash, also on Boxing Day at the same venue.
