RANDY Welch, 34, of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was shot and injured when he was confronted by two men in the city on Tuesday night.

A police report said that around 22:15 hrs on November 25, 2014, Welch was at ‘Turning Point’ in Tucville, Georgetown, when two men approached him, one of whom discharged a round from a firearm that hit him to his right foot.

Welch has been admitted to Georgetown Public Hospital for treatment as an investigation into the incident continues.
