Understanding…from a teen’s point of view!

> Positive Behaviour

Hello there! How was your past week? Mine was quite good and yesterday was my 15th birthday, so I am very excited to write about this topic!Everyone gets some distinct emotion every now and then and most times, these emotions lead to how you behave-and how you behave determines how people will behave with you! But when we get the distinct emotions: “sadness” and “anger” what do we behave like? Sometimes, we let these feelings go and just move on but most times we act out- and react.
It’s amazing how sometimes even silly situations cause us to react, and to you fellow teens, our generation is known for being “hot headed” by why is this so? It is quite frequent in our society that we see people, youths especially reacting and doing really shameful acts; stabbing persons for money, committing suicide, doing drugs- these are all actions that are not called for!
It all comes down to having a positive behaviour in every situation- while we’re only humans and sometimes we need to let the emotions out, most times we need to be positive. Don’t let things like: teachers treating you indifferently, losing some of your friends, persons who are supposed to help you make things worse instead and other persons’ bad behaviors get you down. We should all remain calm and collected in whatever we do; a positive mind will always produce the best results! There are many ways to staying calm in every situation; and for every situation that makes you sad or angry, just know that “at the end of every tunnel, there is light” and maybe the reason you are in the situation is so that you can learn and make better choices!
One of Newton’s laws of motion states that “for every action, here is an equal and opposite reaction” and in colloquial- Caribbean terms we say, “if yuh play wid fire yuh gon get bun.” This goes shows exactly what’ll happen when you do not keep a positive behaviour and it also shows that how you react will determine how someone will act towards you.
So from now on, we’ll all put a nice, bright smile on our faces and keep a positive behaviour and be sure to encourage others to be positive as well!
