In a world of greed and hypocrisy,Of noisy confusion and material idolatry
Of little compassion but much profanity,
With scarce regard for human worth and dignity.

In a world of insatiable lust for fame and sensuality,
Of desolate broken hearts with myriad paths for self – destruction
Where the faces of men reveal their own sad plight,
Of unbearable anxieties to endure just to see tomorrow’s light.

Oh KRISHNA! We seek Thy peace and sweet serenity
In a world lacking in human warmth and sincerity,
Of unspeakable violence and unending hatred
Steeped in vain ostentation and arrogance unabated,
The light of reason and knowledge long extinguished.

Oh KRISHNA! We seek Thy peace and sweet serenity
In a world lost in dense darkness of ignorance and error,
Thy call, therefore, we heed in sincere endeavour
Embracing Thee forever as our dearest Friend and Saviour,
And with tears of love at Thy lotus – like Feet
May the sweet notes of Thy Flute in our souls reverberate
