Chief Justice grants nine petitioners bail totalling $1.84M

ACTING Chief Justice Mr. Ian Chang, S.C., Friday granted nine petitioners bail in the sum of $1,840,000 pending the hearing of their cases.

Particulars are as follows:

For possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, Patrick Seaforth was granted bail in the sum of $175,000; Sunil Persaud in sum of $400,000, and Clifton Taylor in sum of $350,000.

For rape of a child, Selwyn Mc Clintock was granted bail in sum of $100,000.

For robbery under arms, Shaka Mc Kenzie was granted bail in sum of $100,000.

For robbery, Dommattie Hiralal was granted bail in sum of $300,000.

For threatening behaviour, Tulsie Persaud was granted bail in sum of $40,000.

For receiving stolen property, Ian Smith was granted bail in sum of $150,000.

And for break & enter, Jasmaine Josiah was granted bail in sum of $225,000.
