MURDER accused Desiree Jeffers, who is said to have participated in the murder of her policeman lover, Igriss Bobb Blackman, whose dead body was fished out of a septic tank at La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara in 2006, was freed by a Demerara Assizes jury yesterday.Blackman’s body was fished out of a septic tank outside the home of the accused on the West Bank of Demerara in 2011, and it was wrapped in a coloured carpet which contained human blood.

Jeffers, who was represented by Mr. Peter Hugh, in association with attorney-at-law Miss Latchmie Rahamat, pleaded not guilty and the jury rejected the prosecution’s circumstantial evidence.
