TWO men were yesterday placed on $300,000 bail each when they appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court to face narcotics charges after police removed a quantity of cocaine and cannabis from a Better Hope house.

The men were picked up by the police on Wednesday after the cops got information that the house they were in contained illegal substances. The police swooped down on the lot 10 South Better Hope, East Coast Demerara property and recovered 41 grams of cocaine and 7 grams of cannabis.

Meanwhile, speaking with the Guyana Chronicle at her home, the mother of one of the men denied that the police ever found any illegal substance in her home.
