ATTORNEY General and Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall on Wednesday handed over copies of the revised Laws of Guyana, as well as the country’s law report, to President of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), Sir Charles Dennis Byron, as the court concluded its first itinerant sitting in Guyana at the Guyana International Conference Centre.

Justice Desiree Bernard had previously donated from her own personal collection of the pre-revised version of the country’s laws to the CCJ.
“As far as we know, this is the first time a State has made a donation of this sort to the Court, and I express appreciation to you for it,” Sir Byron said.

Under the Government of Guyana/Inter-American Development Bank’s Modernisation of the Justice Administration System (MJAS) project, the Law reports and the Laws of Guyana were updated and digitalised.
