Work on Anna Regina streets moving apace

REGION 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Regional Chairman Parmanand Persaud, on Friday inspected construction work on several streets within Anna Regina on the Essequibo Coast.

Mr. Persaud who was accompanied by the Regional Engineer said he is pleased with the pace of construction work and discussed in details with contractors the amount of materials being used for the construction of the streets according to the bill of quantities. The Chairman said the streets which will be paved with double bitumen surface are being constructed by government through the regional administration.
Some of the streets under construction are “Shira and “Hide Out” at Henrietta, the roundabout at Anna Regina and a street in Three Friends village.
Scores of residents in the villages where the streets are being constructed said they are thankful to the Peoples Progressive Party/Civic Government for constructing the paved all weather roadways
