ON Wednesday 8th January 2014, the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha celebrated its 40th Anniversary, a milestone which should be celebrated with great pomp and ceremony.Whenever a milestone anniversary is celebrated, it is a time to reflect and reminisce on what has been achieved over the years. It would not be possible to even attempt to list the numerous achievements accomplished by the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, many of them ground-breaking.

The celebration of an anniversary is a time for reflection, thanksgiving and looking to the future. In Guyana and across the Guyanese Diaspora, the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha under the illustrious leadership of the late Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud will continue to guide and shape the lives of thousands of Hindus. May this distinguished organisation and the guiding light of Guruji continue to grow and inspire the entire Guyanese community.

Many congratulations to the current President, Dr. Vindhya Vasini Persaud, all executive and committee members and supporters of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha on the 40th Anniversary of the illustrious organisation. I have no doubt that Dr. Vindhya Vasini Persaud will continue the sterling efforts of her father in taking forward the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha to new heights and achievements.
