Gravity Lounge presents ‘This is London’

CULMINATING its end-of-year events, the Gravity Lounge would be staging its lavish Old Year’s Night party called ‘This is London’.

As the name suggests, it will be heavily influenced by the rich history and social customs of Jolly Old England in both cuisine and decor.
Guyanese will be taken aback by the amount of detail the Gravity Team will be putting in place, and the experience would surely be a night to cherish.

Music will be provided by the HJ 94.1 boom DJs, Energy and Bevaughn. Tickets are $25,000 all-inclusive of dinner, breakfast and drinks; or $15,000 for drinks only.

‘De Hunter’ stalking the Pegasus New Year’s Ball

LAST year, Rupee brought down the house when the Pegasus Hotel hosted its Old Year’s Night festivity; and this year, two Trinidadian heartthrobs in Rick Ramoutar and De Hunter will be performing.

Rick Ramoutar and De Hunter both promise to rock de house. Each is slated to perform for an hour, which will see them belching out some of their signature tunes to definitely put patrons in ‘de party mood’.

Also making an appearance is Deejay Sparks from Jamaica and our local Deejay Bevaughn. The event is called “2014 Live New Year’s Eve”, and will be held at the Pegasus poolside.

Apart from all the performances, there will be the breathtaking fireworks display that will last for at least 30 minutes; and then there will be dinner!

Patrons who want to be a part of the dinner and party can pay $13,000; but those who just want to boogie down at the party can pay $8000. Lighting and sounds will be provided by the Pegasus Hotel.

‘Free-up Fete’ for Aracari Resort’s Old Year’s Night

THIS time around, the Aracari Resort at 160 Versailles, West Bank of Demerara is doing things a bit differently in that it will be hosting an Old Year’s Nite ‘Free Fete’.

This event will allow patrons free access to the venue and the event, which will be hosted at the resort’s Poolside Auditorium. Interested persons can call 264-2947 to book tables in advance;
Old Year’s dinner and other choices can be ordered on arrival.

The event will feature fireworks and great festivity, and the CEO, Sase Shewnarain, will address the gathering before the venue explodes in a ‘party frenzy’ and staff and supporters welcome the New Year in grand style!

‘Club Nite Fantasia’ for the Edge Nightclub

THE thermometer will get a scare from the heat at the Edge Nightclub (Hotel Tower Building) as folks there do things just a bit different from the others.

Come Old Year’s Night, fans will be converging at the club in large numbers to usher in the New Year, but in a more reverberating and pulsating manner.

Always striving to be different, the venue will be promoting a ‘Club Nite Fantasia’, featuring a ‘musical mix’ that would leave patrons reeling from its provocative intensity.

Of course, fans will be waiting with bated breath to welcome the New Year with great joy and jubilation. Those desirous of a more subtle ambience can soak up the glitz and glamour at the Hotel Tower Poolside, and enjoy cocktails as they listen to soothing music.
