General Manager of the company, Neville Chandrawattie, 29, of Lot 33 Sparta; Kenneth Garraway, of Lot 30 Charity, also on Essequibo Coast; licensed money lender and farmer Amirullah Kuturatullah alias ‘Iron Roller’, 46, of Lot 23 Number Two and Anil Dairam, 25, a large scale farmer, of Number Two Settlement, Blairmont, West Bank Berbice, as well, are accused of having committed the offence on Friday, November 8.
The quartet are charged with the theft, at Port Kaituma, North West District, of 96 ounces of gold valued $22M and $71M cash, making a total of $93M, property of Tamesh Jagmohan.
Chandrawattie was yesterday slapped with two more charges and pleaded not guilty to both. Particulars of those said, between October 1 and November 8, at Port Kaituma, he had one .32 Taurus pistol in his possession without being the holder of a firearm licence.

Another charge against him said he also had two live rounds of .32 ammunition although not a licensed firearm holder.
Attorney-at-law Ms. Latchmi Rahamat made a failed bail application for the men but objection to it, by other lawyer, Mr. Glenn Hanoman, prosecuting, was upheld. He said more charges, against Chandrawattie, Kuturatullah and Dairam are likely to be proffered for a robbery-murder crime.
Is cooperating
Hanoman said Chandrawattie is cooperating in locating others and it may very well be in his own safety to remain in police custody, since he also went to the house of the other co-accused.
Meanwhile, Kuturatullah was represented by attorneys-at-law Mr. Tejnarine Ramroop and Mr. Mursalene Bacchus.
Ramroop who also represented Dairam argued that, in relation to him, the prosecutor said, on the previous occasion, that other charges are expected to come and none were laid against Dairam, who is not a flight risk and did not compromise the investigation.
However, the magistrate refused bail to three of the accused, including Dairam, Chandrawattie and Kuturatullah.
Garraway was previously allowed, by the High Court, to post $1.5M surety and the case was adjourned to November 29.
