TWO young men narrowly escaped death last evening when their vehicles collided at the corner of Middleton Street and Campbell Avenue. The collision occurred at 20.20 hrs. The vehicles involved were a white Toyota 212 and a grey Toyota 170.

The impact caused one of the vehicles to flip on its side, pinning the driver for several seconds inside, before he was removed by persons who rushed to the scene.
Both vehicles were damaged, with the vehicle driven by the errant driver getting the worst of it.

The men would not speak to the media about the accident but were trying to quickly come to an agreement before the police arrived on the scene. Arrangements were quickly made with a tow truck to remove the badly damaged vehicles.
