Mentally challenged man reported missing – relatives appealing to public for help in locating him

RELATVES of Nafraz ‘Nafo’ Ally, 38, of Lot 12 Courbane Park, Annandale, East Coast Demerara, are appealing to  the public for help to find their loved one who has been missing since September 8.

Haltis father, Sheer Ally called “Gawu” told the Guyana Chronicle that his son has been mentally challenged since he was nine months old when he had an overdose of medication.
However, he would like him to return home safely, earliest.
The man said he believes his son is being harboured by person or persons, with whom he is working for nothing because he is naive and his mental faculty is not in order.
The missing man is reported to have scaled the back fence of his father’s property and has not been seen since telling his siblings that he was going to the toilet.
At the time, his father and stepmother (Nanda) were not at home and he was left in the care of his two stepsisters.
The elder Ally is asking members of the public who may know of his son’s whereabouts to telephone numbers 220-9808 or 600-3640.
He recalled that, a year ago, the same son left their home and, after two weeks, was found working in an East Coast Demerara village.
But, on this occasion, following his disappearance, only one sighting of him was reported by a bus conductor who said he failed in an effort to persuade him to return home.
A missing person report has been filed at the Vigilance Police Station. (Michel Outridge)
