World Trade Centre destruction could have been an act of insurance

ON this 12th anniversary of one of the most barbaric and awful cases of terrorism ever inflicted upon modern Western civilisation, I should like to share my thoughts on a question which most often descends into flimsy irrationality, or else is stagnated by a fear of reasonable dissent altogether.

After all, it is possible, and more plausible, that the destruction of the World Trade Centre was an act of insurance fraud on the part of, at the least, leaseholder Larry “Pull It” Silverstein. The entrapment of Muslims, besides, occurs with quite some frequency in the United States, and it does not at all appear to be difficult to plot. The motive can quite easily be illustrated, and there is overwhelming circumstantial evidence as well.

Firstly, in total Mr. Silverstein has, since the tragedy, attempted to sue for over $10 billion, his company and partner bid $3.2 billion for the lease, and Silverstein himself had put up only $14 million of his own money. It was accepted on July 24th, 2001 by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the first time in the complex’s 31-year history that ownership had changed. The planes crashed six weeks later.

Incidentally, during this intervening period, by his own stuttering and nervous admission in interview (e.g. with Charlie Rose), he had had 8 o’clock breakfast meetings at the top of the North Tower every morning, but claims that he did not show up to work on 9/11 because of an appointment elsewhere.

Secondly, and more concretely, as the hundreds of experts from the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth have argued, no steel-structured, high-rise such as the nearby Building 7 could possibly collapse in 2.5 seconds due to a small office fire, as it did, according to officials, more than five hours after the twins collapsed. And hundreds of first responders, police, fire fighters, and other witnesses, on the other hand, are on the record hearing, seeing, and feeling massive explosions.

Of course, a suspicion like this must be proven, but it is nevertheless state capitalism that is giving me pause on this anniversary, not Islam, Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion.

May peace be upon you all in these morbid times!
