As sanitisation exercise continues… : KFC, Pizza Hut reopen doors to customers

MANY customers expect the management of DIDCO, the local franchise holder of KFC and Pizza Hut, to have a thorough quality upgrade at their outlets before reopening the doors.

And the management of the local operations seems to be trying their best to restore the appeal of the two fast food outlets by ensuring that customers are served in hygienic conditions.
The Guyana Chronicle yesterday observed that the staff at the Bagotstown KFC were busy cleaning utensils used in the cooking and storage of items prepared for serving.
At the Croal Street location business was as usual like at the other outlets but this outlet had the most customers and persons dining comfortably without being bothered by sanitisation issues.
It was noted that the interior of this outlet had a slightly cleaner look but on the outside there were no changes as fatty outflows and flies were seen in the drains which separated the store from the road.
The situation at the Pizza Hut and KFC on Vlissengen Road seemed normal but there was an absence of customers at the time the Chronicle visited, something that is unusual at these two locations.
On Tuesday Pizza Hut and the KFC outlets were forced to close their doors, according to reliable sources, as a result of sanitisation issues. The company issued a press release yesterday stating that it had “voluntarily and temporarily closed our stores for maintenance.”
