Revelation of AFC members’ misdeeds came as no surprise

KINDLY publish this letter in your impartial and pro-development newspaper. When I read about the latest revelations of the misdeeds of two key members of the Alliance For Change (AFC), an MP and her party chairman husband, it came as no surprise to me. In addition, the fact that ‘Mr Leader’ wants to cover-up is no surprise at all.

‘Mr Leader’ has been covering up the corrupt practices of his ilk a long time ago. I wrote about this exhaustively, yet some people in the party attacked me personally for the revelations I made. But I persevered. You cannot hide the truth for long.
It is quite clear that it is all about the money and power! Throughout all the debates and discussions in the media, not once did the AFC leadership mention the relationship of Mr and Mrs Nigel Hughes with Sithe Global.
I have heard the AFC lambasting the PPP/C about conflict of interest (Dr Ashni Singh and Mrs Singh, et al) yet they did not see their own conflicts of interest. The same can be said about corruption charges and allegations.
At least Mr Hughes did the right thing by resigning and I do hope Cathy does the same. I do hope the general secretary and the leader understand this.
There are still many more revelations to be made and with time all will be made clear. Let the AFC members and supporters bear witness!
