Neal and Massy presents bursaries to employees’ children

The Neal and Massy Guyana Group of Companies presented bursaries to 21 children of employees who were successful at the recent National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), at a ceremony held at Neal and Massy Staff facilities, Ruimveldt. Finance Director of TDI, Mr. Troy Beharry who spoke on behalf of Mr. Deo Persaud, Group Chief Executive Officer said the Group was extremely proud of the students for their effort in the NGSA.
Mr. Beharry said the Group has been presenting bursaries for over 30 years in recognition of the achievements of employees’ children who have excelled over the years at the national examination.
“We would like to congratulate you and encourage you to set higher goals as you embark on secondary education. We also applaud your parents for the role they have played in your development,” he added.
Mr. Beharry said the Group will be celebrating 45 years of operation in Guyana and the bursary award ceremony was one of the activities to coincide with the anniversary programme.
The parents of the awardees are employed at Associated Industries Limited (AINLIM), NM Services Limited (NMSL), CCS, NM Security Services, Demerara Oxygen Company (DOCOL) and Trade and Distribution Inc. (TDI).
Ms. Sharon Rodrigues, TDI Human Resources Coordinator said the Guyana Group continues to give back and encourages young people to grow.
The bursary awardees are – Heimraj Resaul, Hema Davie Singh, Hakeem Paul, Jude Bouyea, Melissa Vandeyar, Joel Edmonds, Talisa Rawlins, Joshua Hines, Omari Tyrell, Allison Miggins, Nishani Linguist, Kirk Barnes, Angela Perry, Latoya Lachhman, Omatayo Moore, Akilah Spellen, Shadacia Luthman, O’Neil Carter, Krishna Paul, Jaheim Jaundoo and Thakecha Ramkellawan.
