Radio Needy Children’s Fund launches annual raffle

THE Radio Needy Children’s Fund (RNCF) yesterday launched their Annual Raffle 2013 at the National Communications Network (NCN) on Homestretch Avenue, Georgetown. The raffle is one of the main fundraising events to generate funds for executing their programmes successfully.
Speaking at the launch was Chairman of the RNCF Michael Gordon, who noted that amidst all the activities taking place now, persons need not forget those that are in need. He further stated that the RNCF is not only focusing on children but they have to consider families also by providing monthly assistance in needy cases in various communities.
A raffle ticket costs $100. The prizes are as follows: 1st Prize – 1 Carat Diamond Bracelet compliments of King’s Jewellery World, 2nd Prize – 1 return ticket to Miami, compliments of Suriname Airways, 3rd Prize – 1 return ticket to Trinidad and Tobago from Caribbean Airlines and the 4th Prize – a day trip to Arrowpoint Resort, sponsored by Roraima Airways.
The RNCF was established in 1954 and has been serving the needy, especially children, around the country in the areas of education, welfare, health and social events (Christmas parties).
Treasurer of the RNCF, Ms. Doris Lewis expressed gratitude to the various companies that have been with them since they commenced operations and have been making tremendous contributions to the organisation.
Tickets for the RNCF annual raffle are available at stores countrywide and also at NCN on Homestretch Avenue.
