PRABHUDYAL Tarachand, 34, of High Reef, Albion, Corentyne, was remanded to prison yesterday, when he appeared before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo on a murder charge.

He made his appearance at New Amsterdam Court, also in Berbice, charged with having murdered his reputed wife, Geeta Bissoondial, 28, at their High Reef Home on Sunday, June 2.
The case was transferred to Albion Court, Corentye, for fixture, on June 18.
It is alleged that Prabhudyal strangled the woman because of a triangular love affair involving one of his relatives.
The prisoner and the deceased had three children during their seven-year union.
