A MAN is in police custody after police attached to the Narcotics Branch at Ogle International Airport, East Coast Demerara searched him and found a quantity of cannabis sativa (marijuana) concealed in a Vaseline container.

Police reported that at about 08:30 hrs yesterday ranks stopped and searched a man who was on a flight to Baramita, Region 1 (Barima/Waini).

A total of 64 grams of marijuana was found concealed in a vaseline container among his baggage.

He is in police custody and will be charged shortly, police stated in a press release.
