THE Ministry of Health will be collaborating with the University of Guyana (UG), the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Trinidad, University of California (Berkeley) and the Guyana Association of Optometrists (GAO) to host a Joint Eye Care Mission.

A release from the Ministry of Health said, starting today, the team will be at Wales Community Centre, West Bank Demerara; tomorrow at Cane Grove Health Centre, East Coast Demerara and on Friday at One Mile Health Centre, Wismar, Linden
The release said persons will be able to benefit from free eye tests and spectacles, should the need arise and would be seen from 09:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on the scheduled days.
Minister of Health, Dr. Bheri Ramsaran said such outreaches are just another way in which the Government and the ministry are dedicated to helping the people of Guyana.
He said they will continue to undertake the exercises across the country to assist people in the various ways they can.
