CONSTRUCTION worker Jermaine Wiltshire, on Wednesday, May 8th, faced three charges before Cove and John Magistrate, Zamilla Alli.
The first charge stated that on Saturday, May 4, at “C” Field Sophia, he behaved disorderly within public hearing. The second charge alleged that, on the same day, he obstructed police constable, Michael Adolphus from carrying out his duties; while the third charge alleged that he unlawfully assaulted police constable, Michael Adolphus.
The visibly distraught 28-year-old Wiltshire pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Unrepresented by counsel, he gave his address as Lot 49 Dennis Street, B Field Sophia.
He was granted pre-trial liberty by posting $90,000 bail, and is
expected to make another court appearance on May 23 May at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, to which the matters were transferred.
