MAGISTRATE Adela Nagamootoo, on Wednesday, ordered a probation report on a 15-year-old lad who pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny when he appeared at the New Amsterdam Court, in Berbice.

Police Corporal, Orin Joseph, prosecuting, said the teenager faces another charge of break and enter and larceny.
In one case, on March 24 last, Chaltram Ganpat left his $50,000 bird in its $6,000 cage, under his house and went to church.
But, during the religious service, he received a telephone call causing him to return home and find the defendant with his bird, which he had kept in confinement for the purpose of amusement.
That case is fixed for trial on May 24.
