I believe great men never die, for they live in the hearts of those who love them.
I wish to join the many who are expressing their regrets and grief in relation to the death of Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud. To his immediate family, I convey my deepest sympathy.
Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud, in my opinion has served us well, both in the religious and the political fields. To me, his teachings in the religious area have been most valuable to those he taught.
I recall him functioning as the officiating priest at the opening of the SRI SATYANARAYANA MANDIR, Patentia, Wales in 1974. As a young one, I felt extremely blessed as he taught us from the Hindu scriptures. He was an encouragement to me.
He will be greatly missed, especially with respect to his dedicated service to Dharma.
May Lord Krishna, who, according to the Gita declared that the wise do not grieve for the living or the dead, but grant him eternal life. As for me, deep in my soul there is a burning sensation whenever I remember him.
