I note with interest the letter by the Registrar of Lands, Ms. Juliet Sattaur, in the Guyana Chronicle dated April 10, 2013.

It is an open secret that many titles to properties have changed hands “under the table”. A number of unethical practitioners have been charged in this regard.
Will we ever reach the stage in this country where those who uphold the law are given due recognition and support? Honest and committed administrators are few and far apart. So, let us value those we have, as they are the protectors of the straight and narrow.
