FREDDIE is right! His friends were laughing at him (that is right, laughing at him and not with him at the Pegasus (KN Apr 9). They recognised his asininity and so laughed at him as most of Guyana usually does when they read Freddie’s writings.Freddie recently asked Ravi Dev, Devanand Bhagwan, and Vassan Ramracha where they got their stats to substantiate their arguments. This man has the gall to query others for sources of their statistical data when daily Freddie pours unsubstantiated diatribes in the media. Not one of his arguments or data can be verified by an independent source.   Freddie claims that data will show 99.99% of all businesses are owned by Indians. Really! Where did he get that from? Empirically, if one travels around Georgetown, about half of the businesses are found to be owned by Indians. And in terms of actual dollar value of business holdings, less than 20% is owned by Indians. All the large corporations are owned by non-Indians. The state itself owns over 50% of the wealth of the country and Indians constitute around 10% of the state’s labour force. It simply isn’t true that Indians own 99.99% of the wealth or of the businesses in the country. Common sense will reveal to any objective researcher that Indians own substantially less than 20% of the wealth of the country. By claiming that Indians own substantial wealth, Freddie is guiding bandits to target Indians.
Freddie’s stats are manufactured in his head just like his other research that Indians dominate the tier positions of government.
Here are a few questions for Freddie: Why was Freddie expelled from Grenada by American troops in the aftermath of the 1983 invasion? Why Freddie was denied employment in Barbados after he went for an interview? Why was Freddie deported from Canada preventing him from completing his doctorate (was that in Guyanese or German history? Why was Freddie deported from Miami? Is it true that Freddie was recently denied a U.S. visa? Why does Freddie keep lying about how his wife’s government employment was terminated? Why does Freddie make claims that are not factual?
