Kissoon can be considered a mystic

FREDDIE Kissoon can be considered a mystic.

A patriot who combines his struggles for freedom and justice with hatred and vindictiveness, the determination to express his supreme intelligence over anyone who dares to comment on any of his writings  along with his  intolerance for any citizen who dared to exercise his democratic and constitutional right  to vote for the PPP ( the party of his/her choice). Such a conclusion can be drawn from the Freddie Kissoon Kaieteur feature on April 4, 2013
I know that having penned this letter I will get a lecture if not a “cuss down” from my one-time university lecturer for my association with the ERC as a Conflict Management Facilitator. I may even be credited with being an Indian supremacist. However, though the hammer will fall on me I cannot let the enlightened one get away with his latest deceit and hate- mongering.
Freddie is of the strong opinion that the AFC must only look into the interest of those persons who voted for that party. Even though I am not a supporter of the AFC I have enough respect for and confidence in the leaders to know that they will distance themselves and the AFC from Freddie Kissoon’s lopsided mentality.
Referring to a matter in Cane Grove, Mr. Kissoon writes: “This young man came up to me and was angry. He said that he is still waiting on the AFC to help the villagers with the dust problem. I was less diplomatic than Ramsaroop and asked him which party he voted for in the 2011 elections. He said the PPP and I lost my temper. My point was that he put into power the very people who refused their request to stop the pollution but the AFC must do it.”

Freddie may not know that any opposition political party that seeks to represent only those who voted for it in an election will never be victorious.   The combined opposition in Guyana has been saying that their primary concern is the plight of the Guyanese people.  Taking the cue from Freddie about representing only supporters, then one wonders what will be the behaviour of the AFC if it should ever form the government.

It is time that we all understand that the government and opposition Members of Parliament benefit from taxpayers’ dollars.  It is because of the attitude of AFC personnel like Freddie Kissoon that he “take a bet with any Guyanese that if an election is held tomorrow, Wakenaam will vote in a large way for the PPP”. His words not mine.
