PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar, along with government ministers and other functionaries, joined with relatives and friends at the home of the late Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud last evening for the final satsangh before the last rites for Pandit Persaud today.

Today the funeral procession will leave the Dharmic Sanskritik Kendra in Prashad Nagar at 09:00hrs, passing the Shri Krishna Mandir, Campbellville, the Dharmic Rama Krishna Mandir, Barr Street, Kitty and then to Freedom House, Robb Street, where there will be a short service.
The procession will then continue to the Guyana International Conference Centre, Liliendaal, where the official ceremony and viewing of the body will take place.
Final rites and cremation will take place at the Good Hope crematorium.
