OSWALD Inniss (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday, on a charge of fraudulent conversion.
Particulars of the offence, to which he pleaded not guilty, said, on March 2, being solely entrusted, by Elton Hoyte, with a quantity of electrical appliances valued $132,000, in order to sell them and return the proceeds, he fraudulently converted same to his own use an benefit.
The defendant told the court that he, usually, collects items to sell from the virtual complainant and, because he took a while to pay, Hoyte reported the matter to the police.
Inniss was granted $500,000 bail until March 19.
