THE Linden has CoI recommended compensation for those that were killed and injured. Because of the terms of reference, the CoI never heard how this Linden protest started and why it started and who orchestrated it.
Most Guyanese are now asking the big question and that is, who will make these compensation payments since government and the police have been cleared of any wrong- doing.
Most Guyanese will tell you that if the government takes their hard-earned tax dollars and pays compensation to people who deliberately broke the law, then there would be no point in voting for a government of their choice.
If government pays compensation to wrong-doers, then most Guyanese will see the government and Home Affairs Minister Rohee guilty.
As I said before, it’s upon government to decide on forming a commission of inquiry to let the nation know who instigated, perpetrated, inflamed and incited those to do what they did.
Once the CoI confirms those individuals, they must be brought to justice and be made to pay the ultimate price where they will never be able to do it again.
Most Guyanese are saying to their elected government not to allow these perpetrators to get away with hurting innocent citizens again.
They perpetrated their crimes in Linden and Agricola and no one knows where next, once they get away with it.
