Berbice Mash with a difference – Road Tramp to end Berbice Mash March 3

MASHRAMANI 2013 festivities in Georgetown culminated with great splendour on February 23, but the “Ancient County” (Berbice) is now readying for one of the biggest celebrations ever.

altAlthough Berbicians have grown accustomed to their annual Road Tramp and several ‘after parties’, they are expecting a mega concert as an added attraction, compliments of ‘Slaughter House’ entertainment agency.
Come Sunday, March 3, this sponsor will promote the ‘Destra Berbice Inferno’, that will feature an exciting fusion of some of the world’s most rated Soca and Chutney artistes, at the Government Technical Institute Ground in New Amsterdam.alt
One would certainly want to soak up all the fun at this event since the promoter will be dishing out an artistes mix that will showcase Jamaica’s dancehall and reggae songstress ‘Cecile’, Trinidadian soca  temptation ‘Destra’ and her entourage.
Chutney fans are in for a treat also because the likes of popular entertainer Rick Ramoutar is also on the programme.
To ensure maximum satisfaction, the organisers have also included the United States (U.S.) singer Jun Jezzy, who finished seventh in this year’s Chutney/Soca Monarch in Trinidad.
Jezzy is Guyanese by birth and will be bringing natural Caribbean flavour to the stage, together with long time local Soca phenomenon, Marlon ‘Malo’ Webster.alt
All the artistes will be backed by the Mingles Sound Machine Band.
