Government has again deferred the second reading of the Telecommunications Bill 2013, which seeks to provide for the establishment of the Telecommunications Agency and for a regular, coordinated, open and competitive telecommunications sector and related matters.
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds told the National Assembly at Thursday’s sitting that government is seeking to continue
on-going talks with the two phone companies, Digicel and Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company that is crucial to moving the bill forward.
