DIGICEL Guyana as part of its sixth anniversary celebrations delivered on its promise to the community of Victoria, East Coast Demerara, with an outreach for the children at the Victoria Community Centre.
According to Digicel Public Relations Manager, Shonnet Moore, as their way of giving back to the community they launched the outreach yesterday afternoon where hundreds of children were treated by “Tons of Fun” which included delights such as trampoline, bouncy castle, Bruster’s ice cream, and traditional storytelling by Nicky Harrison, while toys and colouring books were also distributed.
Digicel’s team comprising Head of Marketing, Jacqueline James, Sponsorship and Events Manager, Gavin Hope, and others were on hand to oversee the day’s event which was well attended.
This year Digicel is celebrating six years of service to Guyana, having launched cellular service in many far-flung areas and in an effort to foster better community relations they will be in several areas countrywide with similar outreaches.
Last week the cellular company launched its sixth anniversary promotion dubbed “EZ Cash” in which six lucky customers will win $1M each. Additionally, 60 Digicel customers will win $600 credit daily for six weeks.
The six-week promotion which gives customers a chance to win big and Digicel’s “EZ cash” promotion began on February 4 and will end on March 17, and during this time Digicel will also visit a number of communities across Guyana to engage customers in its sixth anniversary celebrations.
On February 14 Digicel Guyana will celebrate six years of service locally.
