KINGSTON, Jamaica (CMC) – Jamaica middle order batsman Nkrumah Bonner scored an attractive hundred in a second trial match before the start of the regional Super50 and four-day competitions.
Bonner hit 104 for Tamar Lambert X1 against a team lead by Dave Bernard Junior as the defending champions fine-tune preparations for their opening engagements against Barbados next week.
His innings included five sixes and seven fours while Nikita Miller top-scored for Bernard Junior XI with 54 in the 50 overs-a-side match.
The two teams were scheduled to begin a three-day practice match from Wednesday.
Jamaica, defending champions in both versions, open their campaign next Thursday with a Super50 showdown against Barbados at Kensington Oval.
The teams will then meet two days later for the opening round of the four-day tournament at the same venue.
