In February 2012, the soft drink production facility was accredited with the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC), an upgrade of ISO- 22000 which was stipulated by Coca Cola International. However, the FSSC Certificate could have only been achieved through successfully acquiring the PAS 220 certification (Public Available Specification) which deals with the requirements for establishing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to aid in food safety hazards.
In July (the same year), the company was further accredited with the ISO 90001 Quality Management Systems for the Soft Drink Plant while the Dairy Plant passed the Surveillance Audit for its previously accredited ISO 22000-2005 compliance.
Mr. Reis further explained that improvements in distribution and customer services in relation to the acquisitioning of trucks also complemented a successful year, along with the enhancement (upgrade) of Information Technology infrastructure and the training of both its junior and management staff.
The Chairman also highlighted that the company’s commitment to their social partnership has again been beneficial not only to itself but also to the country in their significant contributions and sponsorship of educational, cultural, sporting, religious and environmental projects.
Due to these facets and much more, Banks DIH was predominantly successful in 2012 and looks forward to master the upcoming years.
