THE Prosecution in the Kennise Glasgow murder case voir dire closed yesterday.
The smaller trial was being conducted to determine whether a prima facie case had been made out against the man accused of killing Christine Sookra.
Defence Counsel Basil Williams, in his no-case submissions, argued, before Justice Roxanne George at the Demerara Assizes, that the prisoner should be freed at this stage.
But State Prosecutors Rhondel Weever and Natasha Backer are contending that there is sufficient evidence to go to the jury.
The proceedings are continuing in the absence of the jurors.
