DEXTER Van-Veen (no address given) appeared in Court Thursday, charged with using threatening and abusive language to his pregnant sister-in-law, Jennifer Basdeo.

He pleaded not guilty to the December 15, offences before Magistrate Leron Daley.
But Police Corporal Bharat Mangru, prosecuting, said the defendant went to the woman’s home and abused and threatened to kill her.
The Prosecutor had no objection to bail and that was set at $30,000 on each charge until the case is called, again, on January 7, 2013.
