Two charged with burglary at lawyer’s home

TWO men have been charged with the November burglary at the home of attorney-at-law Mr. Motee Singh.

Ryan Fowler alias ‘TunTun’ and Rajendra Bisham called ‘Timmy’ appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at Sparendaam Court last Friday, where particulars of the break and enter and larceny charge said, between Wednesday, November 4 and Friday, November 7, at Better Hope, also on East Coast Demerara, they broke and entered the lawyer’s dwelling and stole household items valued millions of dollars.
Police Prosecutor Lloyd Thomas said the booty consisted of two ceiling fans, one water pump, one sound system, one laptop computer, one printer, one digital camera, one cell phone, one video camera, one VCR, a quantity of foodstuff, kitchen utensils, one pressure washer and water tank, one toaster, one gas cylinder, four suitcases, one pair of shoes and one Guyana Passport.
Both the defendants pleaded not guilty and Mrs. De Santos, representing them, asked for reasonable bail and it was set at $200,000 for Fowler and $50,000 for Bisham.
The case was, subsequently, adjourned to January 16, 2013, for report.
