THE Mangrove Reserve Producers Cooperative (MRPC) has arranged for supplies of mangrove honey to be on sale at Lily’s Cafe, located at 87 Barrack Street, Kingston. The honey is 100% natural, with no additives, and is known for its distinctive flavour. It is available in 10oz bottles and would make a perfect gift for the holidays as it is good and green and helps communities.
The MRPC, made up of 52 agro producers in East Coast mangrove forested areas, produces the honey from hives in the mangrove forest. The honey is also available, along with other agro products and by-products including beeswax candles, at the Mangrove Reserve Centre at Cove and John.
Information on the honey and other MRPC products can be obtained from Carlotta de Jesus on Tel # 617-0131.
