Police investigations continuing into shooting injuries of two men

POLICE are continuing to investigate two separate shootings in which two men, one in Georgetown and the other at West Bank Demerara, were injured and hospitalised.

In the first incident, Police reported that, about 20:25 hrs on December 2, Dale Cameron, of Lot 130 Belle West, Canal Number Two Polder, West Bank Demerara, was wounded by a female armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that Cameron was driving motor car HB 71, on New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, with a female passenger destined for Crane, also on West Coast Demerara, whom he had picked up at Plantain Walk, West Bank Demerara.
As he approached Crane, he heard an explosion and felt an impact behind his head, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and end up in a trench.
He was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital and, subsequently, referred to Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was admitted.
In the other incident, Police said, about 00:45 hrs on December 3, Eon Ambrose, of Lot 91 Sideline Dam, La Penitence, Georgetown, was injured by a man with a handgun.
Ambrose was walking along Middle Road and Hunter Street, Albouystown, in the city, too, when the shooter rode up on a bicycle and discharged a round hitting him on his left leg.
He was taken to the GPH, as well, for medical attention.
